Tariff Names - Abbreviations

The tariffs for deeds, writs and other documents by judicial officers are determined by Royal Decree. Judicial officers must apply those tariffs and may not make any changes thereto. A judicial officer must state the amount of his fees on each document and provide a breakdown of the total costs.

List of abbreviations used to specify the various items on the statement of costs of a deed, writ or other document.

(1) Kantonnement is the custody of a sum of money at a sekwester (Receiver) or - as in this case - at the Deposito and Consignatiekas (the Belgian Security Deposit and Lodgement Pay Office) that serves as a guarantee for debt, i.e. the capital sum, interest and costs owing from one party to another.
